Transport

Aberdeen Airport is located at Dyce, 7 miles north west of Aberdeen city centre. The railway station and main bus station are on Guild Street in the heart of the City.

Shopping

Aberdeen city centre offers a host of specialist shops and shopping centres. The Bon-Accord Centre on St Nicholas Street is the largest, but The St Nicholas Centre, the Trinity Centre, The Academy Shopping Centre and the Galleria Shopping Centre on Bon Accord Street all offer a wide variety of shops.

Sport & Leisure

Aberdeen city boasts many golf courses - you can choose from 25 links courses including Royal Aberdeen (6th oldest golf course in the world), Cruden Bay and Murcar. Inland are an astounding selection of 45 courses, including the highest tee in Scotland at Dufftown, the new development at Ballindalloch Castle, Banchory and Aboyne.

Enjoy the atmosphere of many local Highland Games, or visit the Cairngorm National Park. There are also many other nature reserves, forest walks, breathtaking scenery, and a wide selection of Winter sports available.

Aberdeenshire is famous as the gateway to two of the most famous trails in the world - The Malt Whisky Trail and the Castle Trail.  The castles and distilleries featured are really world class, and are a reason to visit Aberdeenshire in their own right.

Another popular tourist attraction is Royal Deeside, home to royal Balmoral Castle and Crathes Castle, and the picturesque villages of Banchory, Aboyne, Ballater and Braemar.

There are many coastal villages to explore in Aberdeen and Grampian. Tiny villages, picturesque harbours and 150-miles of unspoilt beaches line much of the coast which, together with the area's teeming wildlife (including dolphins, seals and seabirds), make the area an invigorating and uplifting holiday destination.
